What information does MD-2 ask for and how is it used?

When you use the Contact Us form, you are asked to provide certain information, such as your name and contact information. We use this to facilitate the administration of our email service and to prevent frivolous use of our servers.

Do I get to choose what information I disclose?

Yes, you can always choose whether or not to disclose information through the Contact Us form. If you choose not to input your name and email address through the web form, you are offered the opportunity to communicate with us directly by email and a link is provided.

Who has access to my personally identifiable information?

Except as explained in this paragraph, only the webmaster and the party to whom you have directed your message will have access to the information and message you submit. We archive messages only as reference for future communications. We do not share or give any information you provide with any outside agency or company. We do not maintain a database of contact information except that we do maintain and update our email address book of Lions in Md-2 only, for internal District communications. If you prefer not to be added to our email list, please check the "Do Not Add to Email List" box. Your message will still be archived but not used unless we need to refer specifically to the communication you initiated. We will not add your name to our district email list if you check the box.

What if I need to change the personal information I previously disclosed?

If you have communicated with us and we have collected your email address for the district address book, we will appreciate your letting us know if your email address changes or if you discontinue email service. If you initially did not check the "Do Not Add to Email List" box and later decide you do not want to be included in district email notifications, please contact us by email and request that your name and email information be removed from our address book. Similarly, if you checked the box and later decide you would like to be included in district emailings, please notify us of your request by email.

Who can I contact if I have any questions regarding my privacy?

You have the choice of contacting the district webmaster by email or, using the printed district directory, by mail or telephone. In addition, you may choose to contact the MD-2 Council Chairman by the same means.

The linked sites are not under the control of MD-2, and MD-2 is not responsible for the contents of any linked site or any link contained in a linked site. MD-2 is providing these links only as a convenience, and the inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement of the linked site by MD-2.
